Welcome to the Christchurch Chapter of No Kidding! the International Social Club for anyone who has never parented.

Whatever your reasons for being childfree (whether by choice or chance), whether you like or dislike children, whatever your age (18+), sex or marital status, you'll meet like-minded people at No Kidding! events and you'll never be asked "Do you have children?"

We found that we were becoming boring homebodies due to our friends having families. Once people become parents their whole focus on life changes and all they seem to be able to talk about (when you do manage to catch up with them) is how little sleep they've had, how many childhood diseases have been through their household and the fact that they struggle to get half an hour a day to themselves.

We decided that we needed to meet other people like us who were interested in socialising with adults, holding intelligent conversation and generally having fun without the distraction of children.

After searching for a childfree social club in NZ we decided that we had to start one ourselves. It was great to find No Kidding! which was started in Canada in 1984 by Jerry Steinberg. Check out the Chapter One Website.
